Dream Role Comes To An End

After a 4 week run, we close THE PRODUCERS at Spokane Civic Theater.  I got to perform a dream role - Max Bialystock - with a dream cast.  It has been a marvelous experience and a lot of fun.

Guten Tag Hop Clop

I have previously posted about performing multiple roles in a single show, stating that the next time I did just one character it was going to feel like a let down.  --  Not so.

The whole cast - from principles to ensemble - has been a joy to work with.  Even with the technical challenges of staging a show this big, the crew has done a fantastic job and a lot of fun, too.  Great people doing a great job together.

"Gimme Those Books!"

On our final Friday night, we had a special guest in the audience - Patty Duke.  After the show I went out into the house to say Hi, and received the greatest compliment I could ever ask for.  She walked up to me with a HUGE grin on her face, stood in front of me for a moment, then said, "Shit!" and gave me a big hug.  Better than a Tony!

Leo and Max wrap it up
