Yes, you read that right. A 24 hour Theatre Festival. One of the many festival events Stage Left sponsors through out the year. This one, however, can lead to panic attacks and loss of breath.
We gathered on Friday night at 8 - our team of 3 actors and director. We were matched with a playwright, then the playwright was matched with a prop - all done at random. Each team chatted with their playwright for about 15 minutes, then the authors went home to write. At 8 the next morning we got the script and we started learning our lines and rehearsal. By 8PM on Saturday we were performing these plays! Sheesh!

Our prop - the umbrella |
Our one act took place in a cinema where a couple came to watch the new film AVENGERS: END GAME. There were only 2 seats open, on either side of a young lady who had researched the theater extensively and chose her seat for the optimum viewing experience - she refused to move! Fun play, fun experience, and it actually began one year ago today (as I write this).
Theater comes in many shapes and sizes, and this past year I got to experience quite a few versions. Our next chapter involves yet another kind of theater - workshopping a brand new play. Stay tuned!
